Jean-Luc Godard) 1960 no big deal, just some down time here as we set up for the next shot in this sequence that’s poised to obliterate the calcified rules of film grammar as we know them. belmondo’s got a magazine, seberg what appears to be a script of some kind, and there’s godard being godard.  there are dozens of small-roomed apartments visible in this picture alone, but only in one of them were they casually making film history. it’s a romantic notion, but then again, it’s a romantic film.  lettertojane: Downtime
